We currently use and recommend Dents Away (www.dentsaway.com.au) for all Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) work. PDR is recommended where there is a dent, which is accessible from inside the panel, and in which the paint is not damaged. The PDR technicians, using specially designed tools, are able to massage the dent out from the inside then with a bit of polishing the panel will be restored to its former glory. This is a more elegant and far more cost-effective process for repairing dents than filling the dent with body filler and repainting the damaged area.

If ChipsAdelaide closed its (van) doors for good, there would only be a bunch of one-man-in-a-van "businesses" providing mobile automotive paint services to Adelaide's car owners. Not a lot of these businesses have even a Yellow Pages listing, let alone a web site or enduring point of contact. I can't even find out what business name most of them are trading under. How will you find the good ones, or contact them again?
In 2008 I offered my all employees a license arrangement whereby they could have the best of both worlds - an independent business where they could make all the money they wanted for themselves, but with the advantage of trading under a recognised and respected business name, with a centralised point of contact and cost-effective advertising and marketing. I thought it was a good idea but none of my employees did at the time.
Anyway once I made the decision to move on to a new business, rather than let ChipsAdelaide wither on the vine, I thought I would try a different approach - the proof of the pudding being in the eating, as they say! The number of referrals which go through this site will determine how it performs as a central point of contact for other mobile automotive paint restoration services. If the independent businesses receiving the referrals are happy with the business they get, then we have a good business model, and I guess my concept will be proven. |
