How We Began
ChipsAdelaide began as a ChipsAway franchise in Australia in 1996. Unfortunately the original Australian Master Franchise collapsed in late 1998, leaving a number of franchisees to continue trading as independent non-franchised ChipsAway businesses.
In late 2001 two of the Adelaide based ex-franchise ChipsAway businesses merged to form ChipsAway Adelaide, creating the largest mobile paint restoration company in South Australia. Steady growth has been achieved since that time to consolidate the company's position as the leader in the local marketplace.
In early 2006 ChipsAway International applied for registration of the ChipsAway trademark (which we had been using since the liquidation of the orginal Master Franchisor company in 1998). An agreement was eventually reached in early 2008 for ownership of the ChipsAway trademark to transfer back to ChipsAway International, and ChipsAway Adelaide became simply ChipsAdelaide.
Please note that we have not been associated in any way with ChipsAway International since early 1999 and make no claim to being a part of the international ChipsAway franchise business. We are no longer associated in any way with any other former ChipsAway businesses.
ChipsAdelaide has continually refined and developed its repair practices and paint system in pursuit of the highest standards achievable in this field. ChipsAdelaide has developed a solid reputation throughout the South Australia motor vehicle industry for quality and service, and has a large and loyal trade and retail customer base which generates substantial repeat and referral business.
Where We Are Now
ChipsAdelaide technicians are all fully qualified spray painters and all have many years experience in the automotive painting industry. Between them they have repaired everything from MG's to Mustangs, Alfas to Zetas, Bentleys to Yaris's, Chryslers to Wolseleys, and Dodges to Volkswagens, early model Fords and Holdens to the latest Maserati, Mercedes, Porsche or Ferrari. We've fixed Mack trucks and Greyhound coaches, to motorcycles and jet-skis and everything in between - we have even repaired paint on helicopters, light aircraft and 15 metre yachts - therefore you can be confident when you get a ChipsAdelaide technician to fix your vehicle that he (or she) will have the skills and experience to provide a perfect repair.
Many well-known new and used car retailers, both prestige and general ( see Testimonials) utilise our services. We are also the repairer of choice for a number of new car dealerships in South Australia. Unlike many of the independent and less experienced mobile automotive paint repairers, we have more than 12 years experience in this niche industry. We have developed our skills, processes and techniques enable us to accurately replicate the factory finish to consistently provide an invisible repair.
Now with 16 fully equipped mobile workshops on the road (we are currently upgrading our fleet to VW Transporters), we are able to deliver high quality paint and panel repairs and a quick response to the new and used car trade, corporate and fleet managers, and retail customers throughout the greater Adelaide metropolitan area, from Gawler down to Victor Harbour.
